My husband has a colostomy bag; having problems with gas; and difficulty with the pouch sticking. Trying to cope with leakage, etc. Any suggestions?

It is possible that the pressure from the gas build-up is causing the wafer to pull from the body causing gaps and leakage. Try the Osto-EZ-Vent to to release the pressure faster. Also, 3M's No Sting helps with skin irritations caused by leakage. Good Luck. ;)

I tried using the Osto-EZ-Vent on a Marloen Drainable puch (#51529). Even though I wiped the area with a gauze pad and 91% isopropyl alcohol I could not get the gloss on the pouch surface to be removed. The vent fell off when we used the pouch. Any suggestions, please?
