My mother is a new ilieostomy patient and is having a hard time figuring out a way to shower with the pouch on (the way she prefers) and not getting the pouch wet. She has resorted to using Press and Seal saran wrap and pressing it on her skin aound the stoma and find that it works pretty well. Are there any products on the market that do the same thing, cover the pouch and can be pressed onto the skin with an adhesive built right onto the edges that are disposable? Thank you.

I have had an ilieostomy for about three years now and I do not have a problem with showering. I leave the pouch on and shower as normal. The shower does not seem to affect the adherence of the pouch. However, in the beginning, my Hollister one-piece drainable pouch sometimes leaked around the edges. I solved that problem by using surgical adhesive tape on top of the Hollister sticky edges.
The kind I use does not irritate my skin as I sometimes leave it on for 3-4 days before changing. Incidentally, I do not change it every day if it does not leak, I leave it on but I do rinse it thoroughly to obviate any odor problems.
Sure, living with an ostomy is troublesome, but the alternative is worse!!
